cisgender:

“fuck (gender identity) scum” is never an okay thing to say, let alone ‘proudly’ put on a badge! that’s so, so misguided and hateful and wrong. just because a group of people treats you badly, that doesn’t mean you should call them all scum and openly hate them!! that’s so disgusting, dang. if you grew up in a black neighborhood and black people picked on you and tried to trip you, you wouldn’t wear a badge that said “fuck black scum” and expect people to pat you on the back for it. you wouldn’t take a picture of it and put it on a website like you’re some kind of hardass. it’s really, really gross. blindly hating any group of people for their sex, gender, identity, skin color, etc is soooo horrible and just… i can’t believe it!! i can’t believe someone would do that. it’s really horrible. that’s moving backwards. that’s not the direction you should be taking if you’re queer and trying to get people to give your sexuality/gender identity credibility.

Regardless, hate or love, I don’t think I’m okay with the grouping of people.

“just because a group of people treats you badly, that doesn’t mean you should call them all scum”

If some people have treated you badly, that does not mean that that kind of person will always treat you badly, or any way in particular, they are human beings and they cannot be judged as a whole on their labels, you cannot look at everyone in the world who has blue eyes a particular way because the three girls who kicked you in school had blue eyes.

And don’t tell me that can’t happen because I avoided blonde girls with blue eyes for that very reason and it was stupid.

It is stupid.

I am angry about things.

Anyway, what I mean is that not only blindly hating, but blindly judging any group of people won’t get us anywhere.

Though I will agree that hate feels like a bad place to start.

I’ll leave it be now.
